Just wanted to add a few more words to the review of this great album. Something was mentioned about how it wasnt really an Aphex album, or words to that effect. I think that EKT's is still very much in the vein of they have both been doing in the past but coming from certain areas of their past music. For example, RDJ seems to be coming from the kind of humour found on the Ventolin b-sides - and take a look at that cheesy grin of his on the cover, still reminds me of a review I read which described him with the new beard on ICBYD as a cross between the child catcher from Chitty Chitty bang bang and dudley moore, or something like that! Upright Kangaroo made me laugh the most I have done on my own for some time. The unexpected sample of bodily emittances sent me reeling. Bu Bu Bu Ba - is kind of touching but with a slightly disturbing baby noise which gives way to a kind of beautiful end. I think the only problem with this album is that it may come to be seen as a bit of a novelty album but I am pleased with it. I mean, it could have gone completely the other way and received the mind fuck of the century - Mr Angry/Ventolin... Just my two pennies... RA On last night - EKT's and the 4th track from Nautilus (doesnt have aname on my promo) v. Aphexy
